The Phone In

Available for 28 days

Today we want to hear your reaction to the demonstrations in Southampton overnight. The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has condemned acts of violence against police officers in the city. Demonstrations have taken place about the way police responded to the murder of the student Henry Nowak. In December, officers handcuffed and arrested Mr Nowak as he lay dying, after his killer falsely accused him of racism. Vickrum Digwa was sentenced on Monday to life in prison for the murder. Speaking after the sentencing, Mark Nowak, Henry's father, said the family did not want his death "to be used to create further division, hatred or tension." A report says St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire could face financial insolvency within two years. The report was commissioned by the Bishop, Dorrien Davies, and makes a series of recommendations in order improve leadership and governance at the cathedral. So today we鈥檙e taking your calls on our religious buildings. Do you think enough is being done to preserve them? And Olympic silver medallist Iwan Thomas joins us on Global Running Day. Nearly two thirds of us now identify as runners. If you love running, tell us why! Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110 or Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nation's conversation.
