Tonight, Soweto shares performance highlights from singer-songwriter, cellist and composer Ayanna Witter-Johnson, with pianist Fergus McCreadie and and the Â鶹Éç Scottish Symphony Orchestra recorded at Glasgow’s SWG3 venue in the spring. This unique performance was in collaboration with the Â鶹Éç Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Enyi Okpara, and merged jazz, folk, & classical tradition and paying homage to the lineage of Scottish jazz. Ayanna Witter-Johnson is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, cellist, and composer whose music boundaries of classical, jazz, reggae, soul and R&B. Fergus McCreadie is a Mercury Prize nominated pianist, composer, and previous 'Round Midnight dep presenter, known for his signature fusions of Scottish folk and jazz. ‘Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch.
