All this week, Soweto has been reflecting on the music and legacy of one of the most pioneering musicians and composers in jazz and 20th century music, John Coltrane. To conclude the week, Soweto presents an hour of music exclusively by Coltrane, including some personal favourites and a particularly special release. Along the way, we will hear archival interviews from some of the fellow jazz greats who worked with Coltrane, including McCoy Tyner and Jimmy Cobb, as well as from the man himself. ‘Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.
