Feelgood favourites, hidden gems and fresh new tunes to groove and soothe you. DJ Spoony serves up a brilliant selection of classic soul, disco, soulful house, R&B, funk, UK garage, reggae, hip-hop, doo-wop, yacht rock and more. Our genial host also gives his New 2 Spoon record of the week another spin. Spoony has another edition of his addictive guessing game Music Is the Answer. Will you be able to work out which song Spoony will be playing later in the show based purely on the random (and often hilarious) comments people leave below the song’s official music video online? Each week a different member of the Radio 2 presenting family voices the real-life comments and this week Clara Amfo is doing the honours. Join in the fun, text 88291, WhatsApp 0-800-288-291 or e-mail spoony@bbc.co.uk. All stabs in the dark and educated guesses are welcome! Our genial host wraps things up with a Midnight Feast track. Think big production, lush orchestration and the best voices in the business. To listen on most smart speakers, just ‘ask Â鶹Éç Sounds to play The Good Groove with DJ Spoony’. Produced by Â鶹Éç Audio for Â鶹Éç Radio 2.
