Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien talks to Stephen about his new solo album “Blue Morpho”. For over thirty years, Ed O’Brien has been at the helm of one of the most iconic bands in the world – Radiohead. In the mid-late 90s, Radiohead helped to shape a particular emotional landscape in music culture, one which unearthed beauty and meaning from alienation and sorrow. For many years, the individual members of Radiohead have begun to explore solo and side projects and, this year, Ed O’Brien has unveiled is cinematic second solo album “Blue Morpho”. Ahead of his show at the Ulster Hall in Belfast, Ed discusses the new album, the healing nature of music and the legacy of Radiohead with Stephen.
