As a composer and musician, Orkney’s Erland Cooper thinks a lot about time. Sometimes a piece of music can make it feel like time has stopped, while another song might transport us deep into the past. In this episode, he invites you to join him on a voyage into the mists of time, with music that has an eternal feel, featuring artists like Laraaji, Davy Graham, and Sandrayati. And we’ll be hearing from another composer fascinated by memory, history and time itself, as Roger Eno transports us to his musical safe haven with a piece by one of his favourite composers from the 15th century.
