Pupils from Loreburn Primary in Dumfries recite their favourite Burns poems including "Tam O’Shanter", "A Winter Night" and "My Luve is Like a Red Red Rose". They talk about why they’ve chosen these poems. They discuss why they like living in an area famous for being where Robert Burns spent the last years of his life. They also talk about some of the famous landmarks including St Michael’s Church where Burns was buried and Burns House where he lived with his family and wrote some of his poems. They talk about how Robert Burns carved his signature on one of the windows.
