As land and property prices have increased in South Asia, so have the number of disputes by British Asian returning to their ancestral homes to claim their inheritance. Thousands of British Asians have returned to the subcontinent to find their property and land has been sold, occupied or in dispute - quite often by their own relatives. Salma Ahmad (not her real name) lives in Huddersfield, after her father’s death she travelled to Karachi with her husband to settle his affairs. Salma explains her ordeal in the extract from Âé¶¹Éç Radio Leeds.
