Academics in Nottingham are hoping to document at least a thousand experiences of Stop and Search from Africans, Caribbean and Asians in the city. The hope is it’ll feed through to the work of the new police commissioner. Last October, Nottinghamshire Police began training every front-line officer to improve the way they use the controversial powers. The study is led by Nottingham University sociologists Professor Cecile Wright, who tells Â鶹Éç Radio Nottingham’s Reya El-Salahi how it will work.
