The Cheltenham Festival is a big event in the racing calendar with race prize money second only to the Grand National. It usually coincides with Saint Patrick's Day, and so is particularly popular with Irish visitors. The races will attract about 230,000 people this year, which is good for business in the town, including curry houses in the area.
