The 14th of April is the biggest day in the Sikh Calendar. It is the start of the New Year and the day the Khalsa Panth (the Sikh Brotherhood) was established in 1699. Celebrations will be taking place all over the Punjab and in Gurdwaras in England. The finale is the Nagar Kirtan procession. Parmjit Kaur is from the Shri Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Derby.
