Nottingham鈥檚 black contribution to World War Two immortalised on film

A film telling the story of the contribution made by Nottingham's African and Caribbean communities during World War Two is screening in Nottingham for the first time. It's part of a wider project being run by Nottingham Black Archive, a local group documenting black history, heritage and culture. They鈥檝e been awarded National Lottery funding to produce the film, a book, and a series of exhibitions documenting the war period from 1939-45 and up to 10 years after for African and Caribbean people in the city. In this clip film director, Ioney Smallhorne, tells 麻豆社 Radio Nottingham鈥檚 Reya El-Salahi, about the journey of finding families to take part.
