Reginald Agu is Professor Geoff Palmer's former student. He came from Nigeria and studied under Geoff at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. Together they conducted groundbreaking research into the use of sorghum in brewing in Africa. This helped to radically reduce the use of imported barley, whilst supporting domestic agriculture on the continent.
