Why are knives being used by young people to settle disputes? Hassan Mahmood, who was 15, died in hospital last week following a fight at Oaklands Park in South Yardley, Birmingham It was reported back in April that knife crime had actually fallen by 75 per cent over the past 10 years. So far this year in the West Midlands 7 people have died as a result of being stabbed. Craig Pinkney is the director of Real Action which specialises in tackling knife and gang crime. Âé¶¹Éç WM’s Chatback’s Joe Aldred spoke to Craig and asked if he is worried about how things are going.
