Lovers of Black music received a shock when they heard Choice FM would be letting go of some of their longest-serving DJs, and also that they're changing their name under a rebrand to Capital Xtra. Many took to social networks to bemoan the end of an era, and that the announcement was made on twitter on the 3rd day of Black History Month. In this extract from Â鶹Éç London, Ex-Choice FM DJ Daddy Ernie speaks to Dotun Adebayo about his departure from Choice and how he felt about the newly labelled Capital Xtra. Monique from Hackney also called up to give her view point on the influence that Choice FM had on black music.
