He had been in the country for just five days, and during that time 25 year old Pavlo Lapshyn, stabbed defenceless 82-year-old Birmingham pensioner Mohammed Saleem and plotted three explosions near mosques in the Black Country. He told police he wanted to "increase racial conflict" and said he was a "self-confessed racist" and only targeted his victims because they weren't "white like him." Lapshyn was jailed for forty years.
