Black History month may be over for another year, but could we be about to see it recognised as a national qualification? One teacher called Melissa Lewis-Francis is fighting to do just that. Having already launched a regional course in the subject, which carries a recognised award, she must now prove there is a national demand for the course. Having also set up her own company, Straight to the Root Education, Melissa means business. Here she explains to Mark Dean how the plan took shape.
