December marks one year on from the horrific, fatal gang rape of a young women in Delhi. On Â鶹Éç Radio Leicester the discussion turned to what has been the impact on communities in England, and if there is a silence around violence against women in British South Asian communities. Kanchan Jadeja used to work with the women's group Belgrave Baheno, which means sisters, and is now head of a Youth Charity. In this extract she talks to Â鶹Éç Radio Leicester presenter Maimuna Kazi about how she feels violence against women is still a burning issue in the Asian community...
