World Update

Available for over a year

Half of Syria's doctors have fled and 60% of its hospitals and clinics have been damaged or destroyed, according to a new report from the aid agency Save the Children. The report says as many as 200,000 people have died from chronic illnesses because of a lack of medicine. David Nott, a consultant surgeon at St Mary's hospital in London, was in Syria late last year.
