Tributes have been pouring in after Tony Benn, one of the most influential left-wing figures of the modern political era, passed away last Thursday. He won the support of a lot of people in the Asian community and worked very closely with many British Asian organisations and helped champion their cause. In this extract Mohammed Shafique from the Ramadhan Foundation, an organisation Benn worked with, and journalist Hasan Patel who interviewed him, talk to Â鶹Éç WM’s Midland Masala about the former cabinet minister and veteran left-wing campaigner Tony Benn.
