Narendra Modi, the prime ministerial candidate of India's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has for the first time publicly admitted that he is married. He married when he was 17 but he and his wife ha couple have lived apart. Mr Modi made much of his bachelor lifestyle: “I am single, who will I be corrupt for?” he asked one rally, so why the secrecy?
