Bradford grandmother collects bikes for children in Gambia

Connections

Available for over a year

A Bradford grandmother has collected more than 100 bikes to help thousands of children in one of Africa's poorest countries, Gambia. Razia Amini from Bradford says she saw children being forced to walk miles every day just to get to school when she visited the African nation 12 months ago and felt she had to do something to help. Razia has also paid for some of the bikes which are now on their way to the schoolchildren. In this extract 麻豆社 Radio Leeds presenter Mussarrat Abbasi speaks to Razia and asks her about the children that have inspired her.
