The violent crackdown on protesters in Tiananmen Square remains a taboo topic in China. The authorities attempt to suppress discussion of the incident has been so effective, many young Chinese don't feel connected to what happened in their own country 25 years ago. We brought together two Chinese people, Kai Wang, who is 26, and works as a producer on Newshour and Calvin Lau, who is 28 and has just finished a phD in international relations here in the UK. They were one and three years old when the protests made headlines around the world. When did they first become aware of those events?
