A former British Ambassador to Ukraine says he is sure the shooting of Malaysian airlines plane MH17 was a mistake. Rowland Smith said he did not think Russian president Vladimir Putin intended for the separatists to shoot the plane. The former diplomat, who was in the role from 1999 to 2002, said it was likely the separatists thought it was a Ukrainain government aircraft.
