With the India tour well under way Â鶹Éç’s Desi Download has been taking a look at the subject of cricket and identity. It’s nearly 25 years since Norman Tebbit suggested his cricket test. He said Britons of South Asian origin should be asked which cricket team they supported. If they didn’t follow England and were fans of India or Pakistan, he felt it showed that they had failed to integrate into British society. However today are more British Asians choosing to support England, and are British Indians who play for, or support England facing flak?
