Marion longed to be a ballet dancer, but was told as a teenager that she was too tall. Instead she turned to teaching and became a dance lecturer. Her daughter followed in her footsteps, becoming a dancer and dance lecturer herself. In turn, her daughter Grace, Marion's granddaughter, is eight and has inherited this family love of dancing. Marion still dances, including tap dance which she has done now for 35 years, whereas Grace's favourite style is contemporary.
