Muslim scholars write open letter to Islamic State

Newshour

Available for over a year

More than a 100 Islamic scholars from around the world have put their names to an open letter asking people to stop using the term Islamic State, together with a point-by-point denunciation of the group's ideology. Barnaby Rogerson has written a biography of the Prophet Mohammad, but first one of the signatories - Imam Monawar Hussain, founder of the Oxford Foundation – explains why he objects to the term.
