Five days after street lights were turned off to save money, 18 year-old Archie was hit by a taxi and killed. Matilda Wellbelove said her brother had been walking home in an area in Warwickshire where the street lights were turned off when a taxi "didn't see him in time" and knocked him down. The coroner investigating the case said that the turned-off street lights were "a factor" in the cause of his death. Her story comes as 1.4 million streetlights have been dimmed or turned off around Britain to save money. This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on December 22nd 2014.
