Derby is the UK's number one high tech city with 12% of the city’s population being employed within high tech jobs. Maintaining that position means attracting young people into engineering apprenticeships, which is exactly what The Derby Manufacturing University Technical College hopes to do when it opens its doors to its first student intake this September. In this interview, Âé¶¹Éç Radio Derby’s Devon Daley speaks to the project director of the college Louise Curd about how they hope to help young people learn new skills.
