London’s Waterloo Bridge has a rather unusual nickname – The Ladies Bridge. Tourist boat guides, who ferry sightseers up and down the Thames, use this name to honour the women who played a key role in its construction. Jane Garvey talks to historian Dr Christine Wall about whether there's any truth in it. First broadcast on Woman's Hour, 23 February 2015.
