Details of a new Â鶹Éç award from the Â鶹Éç World Service have been announced on the Canada Calling women’s football show. The public will be able to vote on a five player shortlist (vote opens late April) and the winner of the Â鶹Éç Women’s Footballer of the Year will be announced in late May. Also on Canada Calling, we countdown to the Women’s World Cup. Guests include the Technical director of the South Africa team, Fran Hilton Smith, who's also Africa's sole representative on FIFA's Women's Football Task Force. With the return of the Women's Super League, we speak to one of England's star footballers who has seen recent success winning the Cyprus Cup against Canada earlier in March, Arsenal defender Alex Scott.
