Indian mangoes are more expensive now

The first batch of mangoes from India are on sale in Britain this week after the European Union lifted a ban. But customers are being warned that some varieties like the alphonso are going to cost a lot more than before. That's because the mangoes have to have water or vapour treatment to kill off any pests. The ban had been introduced in May last year because shipments from India were found to contain pests like fruit fly. Dil Neiyyar has been to a greengrocer in Wembley:
