Newshour

Available for over a year

The Kenyan government says the security forces have ended the siege at Garissa University College, but around 150 people, most of them students, were killed. Four gunmen also died. The Somali-based militant group Al Shabaab said it was behind the attack but some witnesses said the gunmen were local Kenyans. So is Al Shabaab gaining influence in Kenya? Salim Lone is a former UN spokesman and now a columnist. He's a Kenyan Muslim.
