VE Day brings back memories of a night of bonfires and freedom for Jane (Joyce) Lund, who was a teenager in Slough at the time. She clearly remembers how the light of VE Day contrasted with the darkness of the blackouts of the Second World War and how she stayed out all night. Her father who had worked assessing bomb damage for J Lyons & Company during the war would mark the battles on a map on the wall whilst listening to radio broadcasts. VE Day for Jane meant the return of her brother, Alan. Interview with Jane (Joyce) Lund by Janice Hunter
