How PM listeners might vote

PM

Available for over a year

PM asked listeners to tell us how they would vote and more than 1000 emailed the programme. David Cowling, 麻豆社 Editor of Political Research, looked over them all and worked out the trends.. He said "there's a much higher degree of uncertainty, less tribalisim; less connection with the established political parties." David thought the listeners responses are fall mainly in four groups. Firstly, there will be a lot of tactial voting - voting for their second choice to stop another party from getting in. There are some listeners who suggested that they will be voting with their heart; choosing the politicial leader they prefer rather than a party they have supported historically. A few listeners expressed that they would be voting for specific policies of personal interests; rather than an overall manifesto of the particular party. Finally, some voters were swayed by their faith in their local candidates. David said "more than most people are changing their minds" for this election.
