Living with Tinnitus, caused by loud music

Newsday

Available for over a year

A few hours exposure to loud music can damage hearing, causing the condition Tinnitus, a chronic ringing sound in the ears. Recent research by the Tinnitus Clinic in London found that noise levels recorded inside several night clubs and bars were between 85-100 decibels - well above the Internationally recommended safe level of 84 decibels. So what’s it like living with Tinnitus? Matthew has suffered from it for 20 years (Photo Credit: clubbers in Macedonia, Â鶹Éç World Service)
