A biologist and teacher has said that science is ""still seen as not for girls"". Dr Emily Grossman was reacting after a Nobel laureate apologised for any offence he caused after making comments about the "trouble with girls" in science. Sir Tim Hunt reportedly told a conference in South Korea that women in labs "cry when you criticise them" and "fall in love" with their male counterparts. He told the 麻豆社 he "did mean" the remarks but was "really sorry". In response to Tim Hunt's comments, Dr Grossman said: "We are coming from an environment where women have traditionally been seen as not good, and not good enough to do maths and science". "A lot of girls that I teach still feel that they don't have the confidence to do it", she added. This clip was originally broadcast on 5 live's Sam walker programme on 10th June 2015
