Rolf Harris victim: Song proves he is ‘still a danger’

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

A victim of Rolf Harris says the disgraced entertainer has “not acknowledged what he did to women”, after reportedly calling his victims “slimy little woodworm” in a song. Victim Karen Gardner said the lyrics, contained in a letter obtained by the Mail on Sunday, demonstrated Harris was “arrogant, belligerent, aggressive, malicious" and was "probably still a danger". Harris, 85, was jailed last year for 12 indecent assaults against four girls. Ms Gardner, who waived her right to anonymity after being assaulted by the star in 1977, said: “I never want to read it again. Unfortunately I won’t need to, 'cause it’s stuck in my head.” When asked by Nicky Campbell if she would like to meet Harris, Ms Gardner replied: "Oh God, yes [...] I'd love the chance for him to feel a little of the humiliation he put women through". The 鶹 has not independently seen or verified the authenticity of the letter. This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on Monday 15 June 2015.
