Sportsworld

Available for over a year

On the 5 July, on the weekend of American independence day, Arthur Ashe's biggest moment arrived. The 1975 Wimbledon final against the brash and outspoken Jimmy Connors, who had won all three of their previous matches, captured the attention of millions for the narrative as well as the sport. Part two marks the 40th anniversary of Arthur Ashe lifting the Wimbledon men's singles title with the Â鶹Éç's Tennis correspondent Russell Fuller, and amongst others, former players John McEnroe, Stan Smith, his agent Donald Dell and his brother Johnnie Ashe (Photo: Arthur Ashe holding the trophy after winning Wimbledon.
