London 7/7 Bombings: Ten Years On

Newsday

Available for over a year

It's a decade since the 7/7 terror attacks on London which killed 52 people and to mark the event a number of remembrance services are taking place across the capital. Families of those who lost loved ones and some of those injured in the attacks will be paying their respects. More than 700 people were also injured when four suicide bombers detonated their devices on three tube trains and a double-decker bus. Friendships were also created on that day however as passengers, paramedics and Underground staff reacted to the explosions. Listen now to Phil Duckworth, one of the most seriously injured and Steve Eldridge, a tube driver. The interview starts with a recording of the Aldgate East tube station supervisor from the day.
