Actor Richard Rankin, who stars in 鶹 TV show The Syndicate as equestrian Sean McGary, says he had 'no clue about horses' before taking the role. When auditioning for the part Rankin told production staff he knew how to ride, expecting to have lots of time to learn if necessary. “The casting process went on for quite some time. It was really quite last minute that I was offered the part of Sean,” said Rankin. “I believe it was a week and a half before the read through.” “By the time we had even started filming episodes one and two on weekends, on days off, on mornings I was to be found on horseback, mucking out or tacking up or grooming a horse,” he added.
