Allotment holders in Lutterworth are once again fighting to protect their plots. The De Verdon Road allotment site in the town has been rented by Lutterworth Town Council from Harborough District Council since 1974. Now though, Harborough want to develop the land for its own use, possibly housing, and the allotment holders have two years until their site will be closed. It's been an ongoing battle , which has been covered previously on Â鶹Éç Radio Leicester.....but now the allotment holders fear that time is finally running out.
