Â鶹Éç Africa is exploring the contentious issue of hairstyles to find out how they affect the lives of Africans. We hear a lot about Afro hair in the US and UK, but what about on the continent? Are the debates the same or different? Is a weave acceptable in Ghana but not in Tanzania or South Africa? We asked Newsday's Bilkisu Labaran - she's Nigerian - as well as women in Johannesburg.
