After weeks of debate and discussion, ballot papers are being sent out to voters in the Labour Party leadership contest from this morning. Leicester's own contender, MP Liz Kendall has been trailing in the opinion polls - and apparently in support. The Guardian newspaper has endorsed Ms Cooper for the leadership. In an editorial, it said Mr Corbyn had "breathed extraordinary life" into the leadership campaign, while his three rivals came across as "a triple-headed embodiment of the well-dressed, smooth-talking Westminster class".
