"The Beginning of the End of Ebola"

Newsday

Available for over a year

Sierra Leone's last Ebola patient, Adama Sankoh, contracted the disease after her 23-year-old son died from the disease late last month. With her release the country begins a 42-day countdown to being declared free of the virus that has killed nearly 4,000 people there. The President of Sierra Leone was at the celebrations, as was Vanessa Wolfman, the local International Medical Corps' Emergency Medical Director.
