An end in sight to traffic jams in Lagos?

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Africa has some of the most congested roads in the world and the problem will probably get worse because growing economies and bigger populations mean more cars. The World Bank says that more people will die from car accidents than from malaria across Africa by 2030. So what are the possible solutions? In Lagos, Nigeria, there are plans to get off the roads and onto the water to ease congestion, as Â鶹Éç Africa’s Sam Olukoya reports. (Photo: Ayo Bello, Â鶹Éç Africa)
