Blood Sucking Leeches Track Endangered Animals

Newsday

Available for over a year

When scientists try to track down elusive and endangered animals, they usually have to make difficult trips into the jungle or set up elaborate camera systems. But now scientists have found a cheap and effective way to save all that work, just by making use of blood sucking leeches. Douglas Yu from the University of East Anglia and China's Kunming Institute of Zoology explains it all to Newsday.
