In Aleppo with those left behind

Newsday

Available for over a year

With thousands more refugees trying to make their way through Europe, the growing crisis is being driven - in part - by the war in Syria. The conflict is now in its fifth year with no real prospect of an end to the violence. Mohanad came from a rural area outside the western Syrian city of Aleppo. He brought his family into Turkey last year but he himself goes back to his home village frequently. He tells Newsday of the situation there.
