'Pass It On', a month-long campaign to encourage people in Leicestershire to sign up to the stem cell donor register, is coming to an end. It was organised by Rik Basra, the Leicestershire Police Inspector who suffered from Leukaemia, but who's life was saved in 2011 thanks to a donor. Well throughout the month of September Rik, his wife Kas and a whole host of organisations in the City and County have been trying to drum up support for the cause. We've had zip-lining, a sports day and even our Editor being pelted with missiles whilst in riot gear. This is what it's sounded like here on Â鶹Éç Radio Leicester.
