Musician and producer Dâm-Funk on modern funk as a way of life. Dâm-Funk aka Damon Garrett Riddick is cited as the epitome of this genre. After finishing an apprenticeship under funk songwriter/producer Leon Sylvers III, he released two albums featuring appearances from Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg and Aerial Pink, and has worked alongside rappers including MC Eiht and Mack 10.
